2010 competition series - why not set a NY resolution to compete, would anyone be happy to compete and have the video and score sheet uploaded in the private area for further discussion - or even just the score sheet if you want to ask us about why we scored what we did?

I'd be quite happy to do that. I've tried to upload the video before but couldn't do it  Huh?

I will definitely try harder to compete this year - failed dismally last year!  Embarrassed I'm always happy to have my riding discussed, I find it hugely helpful.  Smiley

I haven't been able to ride for over 2 weeks (apart from in straight lines, up and down the ridges and furrows, on the long grass in our field) because of the ice. Looking at the forecast - I can't see me schooling for a while so I'll have to start the competition late.  Sad

happy to have the vid and score sheets posted in the private area

the school is frozen, the lights don't work (have resorted to one of those portable workman's light to lunge by) the number of days in december we managed to do anything can be counted on the fingers of one hand (work SOOOOOOOOOOO gets in the way of weekday riding) weekends are taken up with hacking to try and keep the fitness going forwards, I am due to have an ultra-sound guided injection into the offending damaged ankle tendon to try and cure ongoing problems which is going to curtail riding a little for a few days .... but heck, no problem! we will get at least the w&t test to you Rach .... if you don't mind it being posted during the first week of Feb.

would it make sense to run the January tests until the end of February so everyone has some chance (insert fat chance  Cheesy ) of some dry weather?

I think this might be a sensible idea

righto  Cheesy Cheesy have shot the vid for the w&t - on the third attempt  Angry on the first one I quit half way through commenting it was like riding a dead elephant  Angry (well, at least I think I said "dead"  Lips Sealed ) 2nd attempt wasn't much better.

OH gave me a verbal kick up the whatsit and we managed it on the 3rd attempt!  Cheesy

Sorry Rach, I know I promised the canter one too but we didn't get that far ....... I realise I have til next weekend but cantering on anything but a straight line under saddle is still a huge issue.  He couldn't physically canter for almost 2 years after his accident, and mentally for another 18 months after that he was still having issues, and he has an ongoing "thing" with being ridden in the school - harking back to the aftermath of the accident.

We will get there, just a bit slower  Cheesy
